The Central Islip community comes together for festivals and parades, including the Central Islip-Islandia Festival, featuring a 5k Duck Run, and a Memorial Day parade. Central Islip is home to the stadium for the Long Island Ducks baseball team. Central Islip also has a movie theater for low-key family fun. The federal courthouse complex in Central Islip is said to be the second largest in the country.
